Role Summary
We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Head of Sales to build, scale, and lead the sales function within either the Web3 or Fintech business line. This role carries full ownership of sales strategy, revenue growth, and team performance, transitioning sales execution from founder-led efforts to an industry-expert driven structure. The position focuses on high-value partnerships and Tier-1 clients, while operational sales execution is delegated to a high-performing team. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep industry expertise, executive presence, and the ability to deliver aggressive revenue targets in global markets.
Business Context
- The company is expanding across two strategic verticals: Web3 and Fintech.
- Sales efforts are currently driven directly by senior leadership, to delegate ownership to vertical-focused sales leaders.
- Each Head of Sales will own one vertical (Web3 or Fintech) and be fully accountable for strategy, execution, and performance.
- The role is designed to create high-performance competition between verticals to drive accelerated growth and accountability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the end-to-end sales strategy for the assigned vertical (Web3 or Fintech).
- Build, scale, and manage a high-performing sales team, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and, where necessary, terminations.
- Personally manage and close Tier-1 client relationships and strategic partnerships, while delegating mid-market and operational sales to the team.
- Establish scalable sales processes, KPIs, forecasting models, and performance dashboards.
- Collaborate closely with marketing on industry positioning, product messaging, and participation in key events.
- Develop strategic partnerships with leading industry players to strengthen market positioning and revenue channels.
- Represent the business at major conferences, panels, and industry events as a senior spokesperson and thought leader.
- Ensure continuous knowledge transfer, coaching, and industry-specific training across the sales team.
- Build authority and trust within the team through expertise, leadership, and professionalism rather than title alone.
Required Skills & Experience
Hard Skills & Industry Expertise
- Proven track record of scaling sales teams and delivering substantial revenue growth.
- Deep expertise in Web3 or Fintech, including crypto, payments, PSPs, acquiring, iGaming, Forex, EMIs, or banking solutions.
- Minimum 5 years in Web3 or ideally 10+ years in Fintech.
- Experience closing Tier-1 enterprise partnerships.
- Strong sales strategy, pipeline management, and KPI ownership experience.
- Advanced CRM and sales tooling expertise (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- International sales experience across Europe, the US, Asia, and MENA.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally regularly.
