Job Description
Summary
We are a Web3 startup building a new DeFi primitive: curatorless leveraged tokenized vaults with constant target LTV. As we grow rapidly, we need someone to own our technical content and help explain complex DeFi systems simply and clearly.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and take full ownership of our documentation and technical content.
In this role:
- You’ll turn complex blockchain concepts and protocol mechanics into clear, user-friendly documentation and educational materials
- You’ll work closely with our engineers and product team to help developers, community members, and new users understand and use the protocol
- You’ll also adapt technical updates into content for social channels to keep our community informed, educated, and engaged.
This role is essential in bridging the gap between our technical vision and our growing user base, making even advanced DeFi mechanics feel clear, usable, and well-explained.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:
- Create and maintain clear, accessible documentation: user guides, developer docs, FAQs, protocol explainers
- Collaborate with engineers and product leads to deeply understand new features and translate them into useful content
- Stay current on DeFi trends, tools, and terminology - and help us keep our docs sharp and up-to-date
- Organize and manage documentation in a way that’s easy to navigate for both users and internal teams
What We’re Looking For:
- 1+ years of technical writing experience in tech or Web3
- Strong grasp of DeFi mechanics - LSTs, lending, leverage, etc.
- Excellent written English
- Ability to break down complex ideas for both technical and non-technical users
- Comfortable reading smart contracts, whitepapers, or DeFi docs
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with the curiosity and drive to thrive in a fast-moving DeFi startup
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience writing for an open-source project or DAO.
- Familiarity with lending protocols, yield-bearing tokens, and general DeFi mechanics.
- Ability to read and interpret smart contract code (e.g., Solidity) to document APIs or on-chain logic.
- Previous experience working in a similar Web3/DeFi startup or on a comparable protocol.
- Not only the ability to understand and document complex technical concepts for developers, but also a genuine passion for making these ideas accessible — explaining them clearly for non-technical users and communicating them effectively to the broader community.
Location: Remote.
Employment Type: Full-time.
Compensation: $800–$3000/month, depending on your skills, experience, and autonomy.
