Summary

Role Overview:

Steelo is seeking an experienced Head of Blockchain Development with profound knowledge in Solidity, smart contract development, and the Ethereum ecosystem, including expertise in the Polygon infrastructure. This role requires a specialist adept in building and integrating protocols such as Uniswap, Lens, Lido, and Safe, and skilled in smart contract standards like the Diamond Standard (EIP-2535), EIP-4844, ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155. Additionally, a baseline knowledge of JavaScript for mobile development is essential as this role involves collaboration with our Head of Development to ensure the seamless integration of blockchain technologies into our web3 mobile app. The candidate will lead our blockchain strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and innovative smart contract solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the blockchain infrastructure development on Polygon, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency for a web3 mobile app.
• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity, with expertise in EIP-2535 (Diamond Standard), EIP-4844, ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 standards.
• Integrate DeFi protocols (Uniswap, Lido) and decentralized social networking tools (Lens) within Steelo's ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with the mobile app development team, leveraging JavaScript knowledge to integrate blockchain functionalities into a seamless user experience.
• Drive innovation in blockchain and smart contract design, maintaining awareness of trends and regulatory developments.
• Implement best practices for smart contract security, including conducting audits, testing, and vulnerability monitoring.
• Work alongside the Head of Development to plan and execute the full production lifecycle of the web3 mobile app.
• Educate and mentor team members in blockchain technologies and smart contract development.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of blockchain development experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in Solidity and smart contract development.
• Proficient understanding of the Polygon network and its application for scalable dApp development.
• Experience with DeFi and decentralized social networking protocols such as Uniswap, Lens, Lido, and Safe.
• Expertise in smart contract standards, particularly the Diamond Standard (EIP-2535), EIP-4844, ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155, along with account abstraction.
• Baseline knowledge of JavaScript and experience in mobile development, preferably in a web3 context.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of delivering secure, efficient, and innovative blockchain solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Negotiated percentage of equity
• Distributed mined tokens
• UK standard salary once venture funding is available (£40,000 - £200,000)

In addition, smart contracts ability to automate the redistribution of transaction fees to respective token-holding communities enable us to build an eco-system where users have financial incentives to fuel the platform with content, social interactions, and liquidity.
