About General Magic
We’re an elite squad of designers, developers, system architects, researchers, writers and seasoned Web3 professionals. Our Mission is to make magic happen! We do this by providing solution services for Impact DAO’s. Our clients include ENS, Giveth, The Commons Stack, Token Engineering Academy, DappNode and many others.
Who are we looking for?
We need an experienced Director of Technology & Services to support our team by helping us manage our tech processes and workflows, provide guidance and mentorship to mid- level to junior devs on our team, and be a high level project manager to ensure General Magic continues to define the cutting edge of creating solution services for impact DAOs.
To succeed in this role you must:

Be a skilled lead dev and understand Open Source development.

Have past experience project managing software-focused products.

Manage projects on a high level (including speaking with clients, setting deadlines and planning project roadmaps), and also be willing to get your hands dirty!

Be an exceptional communicator of technical solutions and work tasks, both internally within the team and externally with clients.

Be a naturally empathic, supportive and organized tech team lead.

Be comfortable accepting, giving and applying constructive feedback.

Maintain a flexible work schedule, as our team navigates time zones all over the world.

Be fluent in written and verbal English.

Web3 and DAO experience preferred!

What you’ll be doing

You will be a leader within General Magic, and a core member to help us with our business strategy and growth plans.

Be a hybrid tech leader, product manager and project manager, who loves to push the team forward and help us deliver amazing end results to our clients.

Be the tech lead for our team and mentor mid-level and junior devs, while helping us build better processes across our organization.

Regularly review work flows and help us constantly improve our dev pipeline and best practice standards.

Be the point of contact for key clients;the bridge between the development and project implementation

Monitor project budget spending, keep stakeholders updated on progress, escalate any risks and propose solutions.

Develop project briefs, reports, and status updates - to share internally and externally.

Help us improve existing products, build new products and come up with bespoke products for client needs (writing product requirement documents and user stories).

Be comfortable dealing with clients; to satisfy customer requirements and pushing back when needed.
Qualifications
-
6+ years working as a leader in the tech field.

Experience managing teams of 5+ mid-level to junior developers.

A hybrid product / project manager that still loves to code.

Has experience with the modern JavaScript tech stack (Node JS, React & Next JS)

Web3 and DAO experience highly preferred.
