Summary

As a Senior Trading Specialist you will monitor trading activity across the overnight, extended hours, and regular sessions. You'll monitor the health of our FIX trading lines and liaise with external venues and market centers to take swift action to resolve issues that may affect our order flow. You will manage risk, ensure deadlines and service levels are met, and comply with Firm policy, SEC rules, and FINRA regulations. Additionally, you will interact with other Robinhood Teams such as Securities Lending, P&S, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Customer Experience, Engineering, and with external Market Centers (Venues).

What you’ll do

  1. Execution of Written Supervisory Procedures to comply with all SEC and FINRA rules
  2. Order entry and trade execution of equity and stock option orders
  3. Resolution of trade inquiries
  4. Monitor trading activity, firm accounts, corporate actions, and identify and resolve problems associated with trades
  5. Monitor health of routing systems and Venues, and interact with Venues as required
  6. Coordinate response for system, trading, and communications (SEV) related issues.
  7. Engage with cross functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance) on product development and problem solving.

What you bring

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  2. 7-10 years working in a broker-dealer operations/trading environment
  3. FINRA Series 7 required
  4. FINRA 57 license required
  5. Strong understanding of brokerage operation functions
  6. Self-starter with ability to work independently
  7. Strong communication and analytical skills
  8. Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to a changing environment
  9. This role requires the ability to work primary hours from 3:30 AM ET to 12:30 PM ET, with occasional flexibility to cover shifts at other times between 8:00 PM ET on Sunday and 8:00 PM ET on Friday. This schedule is essential to meet the demands of the position and may include early mornings as well as varying shifts throughout the workweek based on operational needs
