Job Description

Summary

About Us: Lucia Protocol is at the forefront of AI-driven data infrastructure, building the future of decentralized ad attribution. We are redefining how brands, publishers, and communities leverage Web3 to track, attribute, and reward digital actions accurately. Our team is innovating where AI, blockchain, and decentralized ecosystems intersect to power transparent and efficient ad measurement solutions.

Role Summary: As a Blockchain DEX Engineer at Lucia Protocol, you will design and implement the smart contract architecture that underpins our decentralized attribution and reward mechanisms. The protocol utilizes DEX-like primitives such as automated market makers (AMMs), token distribution logic, and staking mechanics to drive fair, on-chain ad attribution and incentive flows across ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain smart contracts for attribution validation, tokenized reward systems, and decentralized participation mechanisms.
  2. Develop core components inspired by DEX architecture (e.g. AMMs, pools) to facilitate transparent and automated attribution-based distribution models.
  3. Follow best practices in smart contract security. Write test suites, conduct internal audits, and guard against common vulnerabilities.
  4. Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate attribution models with on-chain contracts and state logic.
  5. Research and build for interoperability and scalability across chains and layers, including L2s and modular ecosystems.
  6. Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure blockchain infrastructure aligns with end-to-end attribution workflows.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in blockchain or backend systems and smart contract development (Solidity, Rust, or Move).
  2. Deep understanding of DEX principles, especially AMMs, staking logic, and gas optimization.
  3. Experience working with frameworks such as Hardhat, Foundry, Anchor, or similar.
  4. Knowledge of token mechanics, reputation-weighted distribution models, or other decentralized incentive systems.
  5. Familiarity with cross-chain protocols, zk tech, or state bridging is a plus.
  6. Comfortable collaborating with AI/data teams to build composable, on-chain attribution layers.
  7. Excellent communication skills in a remote-first, fast-moving environment.

Additional Information:

  1. The salary range for this position is $120k - $130k, with 2%-4% equity compensation.

BEFORE APPLYING:

We are currently in an exciting fundraising phase and expect to secure funding within the next month or two. During this period, compensation will be deferred. We understand the financial circumstances and will ensure that the time commitment remains reasonable. Our expectation is to have team members who can provide valuable contributions while supporting themselves until the fundraising is complete. Are you open to joining our dynamic team and being part of this thrilling journey as we grow and secure our future together? If so, by applying to this position, you understand and are willing to proceed with this arrangement if selected.

Note: Lucia Protocol is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability status.
