The team builds and operates the centralized backend services that power core payments, billing, and account functionality across the organization. These systems form the foundation for product innovation, enabling new capabilities while maintaining high standards for reliability, security, and scalability.

Your Impact

1. Design, build, and operate scalable backend services in Go that support mission-critical payments, billing, and account systems.
2. Own one or more core services end-to-end, ensuring high reliability, strong observability, and clear operational ownership.
3. Deliver meaningful system improvements (e.g., new services, major refactors, or performance enhancements) that increase scalability, correctness, and developer velocity.
4. Strengthen service health by reducing operational risk, technical debt, and incident frequency through proactive reliability and architecture improvements.
5. Lead and contribute to design and code reviews, raising the quality bar for service architecture, testing, and production readiness.
6. Partner cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to make complex backend systems understandable and usable.
7. Ensure backend services integrate securely and effectively with smart contracts and on-chain systems.

Required Skills

1. Proven experience designing, building, and operating scalable backend services, with strong proficiency in Go.
2. Demonstrated experience designing and evolving complex microservices architectures supporting cross-functional and mission-critical systems.
3. Experience building and operating production systems with strong operational excellence, including reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
4. Ability to take ownership of services across the full lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
5. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including leading design reviews and documenting architectural decisions.
6. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing strategy, performance considerations, and code quality practices.

Preferred Skills

1. Passion for the Web3 ecosystem and participation in open-source or community-driven projects.
2. Understanding of smart contracts and blockchain fundamentals, including how off-chain services interact with on-chain systems.
3. Experience working in globally distributed teams.
4. Familiarity with backend or blockchain-integrated security considerations, including reviewing designs for potential risks and vulnerabilities.
5. Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
