Summary

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  1. 3-5 years of financial services experience, preferably with exposure to Custody Operations and/or Trade/Fixed Income Life Cycle management
  2. 2 years of experience, in Trade Life Cycle, Settlements or Fails. FX Experience an advantage
  3. Experience with OMGEO Alert, CTM, CLS,OMS, MISYS preferred.

The Purpose of Your Role

This position will be responsible for the day to day activities ensuring all trade confirmation and settlement processes, reporting, and inquiry responses are completed timely and accurately for the Fidelity Trading Desk FX and equity activities. This person will possess a full understanding of Fidelity’s organizational structure, information flow and internal systems, as well as good industry knowledge pertaining to trading and settlement of equity, fixed income and foreign currency (non USD) exchanges. They should be able to identify, analyse, and resolve complex issues or potential operational risk that may arise and effectively communicate with any party that may be involved.

  3. Operational knowledge in FX and Fixed Income settlements
  4. Proficient skills in various software applications to include, Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook

  6. Working knowledge of agile methodologies
  7. Strong time management skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail
  9. Strong data analytical skills.
  10. Must be able to recognize high-risk items and escalate those items or seek assistance to minimize loss to either the shareholder and/or Fidelity.
  11. Must have the ability to develop solid action plans to resolve daily operational issues/problems.

  1. Monitoring transactional confirmation, fails resolution, escrow activity and settlement.
  2. Communicate issues and take initiative to proactively resolve and prevent problems
  3. Perform market-specific processes to ensure confirmation and settlement in challenging foreign markets
  4. Communicate with internal Equity/Fixed Income / FX Trading Desks, Broker, Custodian Banks, and other business partners to ensure operational challenges are managed efficiently.
  5. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert on projects
  6. Ability to work effectively within a team environment to successfully manage daily work volumes and quality standards
  7. Works with Manager and Senior Managers to identify process improvements.
  8. Ensure that all responsibilities/assignments are performed in a timely fashion.
  9. Deliver effective written and verbal communication to appropriate business partners
