Summary
The People Operations Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting our People team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department. This role focuses on delivering a positive employee experience from onboarding to engagement, providing administrative support, and assisting in the implementation of People Ops initiatives. As a key member of our team, you’ll help us create and maintain a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
What You Will Do
- Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management: Own and continuously improve the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, role transitions, and offboarding (including terminations when needed). Ensure a seamless, compliant, and human-centered experience for employees and managers at every stage.
- Performance Management & Manager Support: Partner with the VP of People and people managers to support performance management processes, including review cycles, documentation, feedback workflows, and employee development conversations. Help ensure performance expectations are clear, fair, and consistently applied across the company.
- People Operations Administration: Manage core People Operations processes, including maintaining accurate employee records, processing new hires and changes, handling employment verifications, and ensuring data integrity across People systems and tools.
- People Process & Infrastructure Improvement: Own the People Notion Hub and related documentation, ensuring information is clear, current, and accessible. Proactively identify opportunities to improve People processes, workflows, and systems to support a growing, distributed team.
- Engagement, Culture & Events: Partner on engagement and culture initiatives, including supporting company events, supporting employee programs, and helping foster a connected, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
- Office & Workplace Operations (Seattle): Oversee day-to-day Seattle office operations, including vendor management, office supplies, basic IT coordination, and creating a welcoming, well-functioning workplace experience for employees and visitors.
What You Will Bring
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR, business operations, or a similar role, with exposure to core People processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance management, and offboarding).
- Operational & Technical Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities independently. Comfort working in HRIS and People tools, with proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- People Partnership & Judgment: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers. Demonstrated discretion, sound judgment, and a thoughtful, people-centered approach when handling sensitive information and employee matters.
- Ownership & Growth Mindset: A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset with a desire to continuously improve People processes and employee experiences. Comfortable taking initiative, learning through doing, and growing alongside a scaling People function while partnering closely with senior People leadership.
The target base salary for this role will range between $110,000 to $140,000 USD. This is determined by a few factors including your skillset, prior relevant experience, quality of interviews and market factors at the point in time of offer. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
