Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter to join our growing team as we continue to scale the firm. You will have the opportunity to help support our growth in all areas of the business, including our investment verticals and operating teams. Partnering closely with hiring managers, you will optimize processes for ensuring an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience at every touch point while also building a diverse candidate pipeline for our roles. This is a fast-paced role in a somewhat ambiguous and ever changing environment so the ability to be flexible is key to success.

This role requires an in-office presence 2-3 days a week in our Menlo Park, CA or San Francisco, CA office.

  4. Own your recruiting metrics: You’ll track and share key recruiting metrics that will be used to optimize processes and forecast hiring 
  5. Work closely with executive stakeholders: You’ll partner with executives to strategize and execute on hiring for their team on a variety of roles 
  6. Coach hiring managers to provide a best in class candidate experience
  7. Support the delivery of hiring team training initiatives to ensure consistent and effective hiring practices across all teams
  8. Demonstrate curiosity and a strong desire to understand the business: You’ll stay informed about firmwide goals, team and organizational dynamics, and evolving industry trends to better align recruiting strategies with organizational needs

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience 
  2. Expertise with full-cycle recruiting for different functions within an organization in an evolving, dynamic, and fast paced environment
  3. Ability to cultivate long-term relationships 
  4. Experience crafting innovative recruitment strategies for underrepresented groups that deliver results 
  5. Consistently source & build robust diverse talent pipelines
  6. Organizational agility in a fast-paced environment
  7. Extremely dynamic; able to attract, engage, and close talent 
  8. Low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams; able to persuade, influence, and build trust at all levels 
  9. Start-up, technology experience is preferred
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills to inspire change and gain the consensus needed from leaders across the organization 
  11. Solid understanding of industry trends and best practices and knowledge of different sourcing tools and methodologies 
  12. Previous experience with Greenhouse ATS preferred

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $239,000 - $278,000, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.

This role is eligible to participate in the a16z carry program and various discretionary bonus programs as well as benefit and perquisite plans including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and sick leave.
