Summary

The Lead Immigration Experience Specialist will provide customer support, analysis, and guidance on immigration issues to internal immigration stakeholders, primarily Talent, Business, and foreign national professionals, for a specific business cohort. This role will involve the application of immigration and program knowledge to provide expertise on complex immigration issues, resolve issues for individual immigration situations, deliver analysis and recommendations based on data, ensure internal and regulatory compliance, and will communicate with key business stakeholders. This role will assist in identifying trends and escalating programmatic or strategic needs to business and immigration leadership to enable customized immigration programs to meet business needs.

  • Serve as principal POC for, and receive inquiries directly from, TBAs and other Talent teams on practitioner- specific immigration inquiries via email, Skype, and CRM
  • Respond to immigration program-related inquiries submitted via CRM from foreign national practitioners within assigned business unit
  • Coordinate with law firms to provide email and live call support case-specific immigration issues impacting the practitioner experience and/or requiring translation for talent, e.g. denials resulting in loss of work authorization
  • Collaborate with Experience Leads, OGC, and Business Advisors to develop email and DNet communications to advise stakeholders on immigration program updates and policies
  • Analyze and evaluate immigration situations and escalate red flag issues to the Experience Lead, OGC, and/or law firms, and partner with Programs team as needed to obtain details needed for response
  • Provide support to Recruiters, the ELE Onboarding team, NOA, and the law firms with case-specific immigration questions related to pre-hires
  • Participate in strategic Experience projects such as Immigration Talks, CRM reporting and analysis (with Experience Lead)
  • Provide specialized reporting services to Marquee client account teams, as requested by business or talent leadership


The team

The Immigration Advisory & Experience Teams are part of the Talent Immigration organization of Deloitte Services LP. This team is responsible for supporting the needs of our foreign national practitioners across all businesses. This includes the development and delivery of strategic immigration programs, as well as strategic projects to enhance the immigration experience of our foreign national practitioners.

QualificationsRequired:

  • Bachelor's Degree and U.S. business immigration knowledge gained through at least 5 years of related experience in a law firm, in-house, and/or education institution environment
  • Relationship-building, collaboration, and influencing skills needed to counsel and work effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to translate complex legal concepts into layman's terms
  • Advanced competency in core professional skills, especially attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, flexibility, initiative, and tact
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams
  • Ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,425 - $146,670

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
