●       In collaboration with relevant departments, create level and event concepts and storyboards using visual storytelling techniques.

●       Game prototyping, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and conducting playtests.

●       Collaborate with the production team to build and maintain the content pipeline through the pre-production, development, production, and live phases.

●       Improving game balance and automating phased content generation using AI technology.

 

Required skills

 

● Over 5 years of practical experience in the game industry

● Deep understanding of in-game design

● Ability to design game mechanics, levels, quests, minigames, and events

● The ability to translate ideas into game mechanics and user experience, and then implement, test, and improve them.

● Experience building 3D game scenes, levels, and environments using Unity

● Ability to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of game systems

● A willingness to keep up with the latest information on the mobile F2P market and share insights gained through gameplay and analysis with the team.

● Excellent communication skills

About the Role:

 

As a Game Designer (Episode), you will lead the design and integration of levels, live events, and immersive storytelling experiences. You will be responsible for crafting compelling visual narratives, cutscenes, quests, and gameplay moments that enhance player engagement and emotional impact.

 

This role bridges mechanics and presentation — translating ideas into playable experiences while ensuring strong cohesion between storytelling, gameplay systems, and live operations.

 

 

You will have the opportunity to:

 

●      Design and establish integration processes for game levels and live events

●      Create engaging visual storytelling, cutscenes, minigames, quests, and event experiences

●      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop concepts and storyboards using visual narrative techniques

●      Design core game mechanics, rules, and systems that support presentation-driven gameplay

●      Prototype gameplay ideas, conduct playtests, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate rapidly

●      Partner with Production to build and maintain a content pipeline across pre-production, development, launch, and live phases

●      Leverage AI technologies to improve game balance and progressively automate content generation

 

Qualifications:

 

●      5+ years of professional experience in the game industry

●      Deep understanding of in-game design principles and player experience

●      Proven ability to design game mechanics, levels, quests, minigames, and live events

●      Strong capability to translate ideas into mechanics and player experiences, and to implement, test, and refine them

●      Experience building 3D scenes, levels, and environments using Unity

●      Analytical ability to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of game systems

●      Strong awareness of the mobile F2P market, with the ability to analyze trends and share insights gained through hands-on play and research

●      Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines

 

Nice to Have:

 

●     Hands-on Unity development experience

●     Experience in live game services, including content pipeline management, event calendar operations, and real-time data-driven optimization

●     Practical experience in Agile development environments, Ability to tweak or implement animation, VFX, lighting, or related assets when needed
