Job Description
Summary
The team
The Growth Engineering team builds the experiences that connect people to our ecosystem for the first time — and keep them coming back. We design and ship the systems behind our marketing funnels, signup and KYC flows, and the key engagement features that help new users fund their accounts and explore our products.
It’s a team with direct influence on company growth, global reach, and user engagement at scale. Our products serve millions of users globally.
As an Engineering Manager on the Growth team, you’ll lead and develop a cross-functional group of engineers delivering high-impact features, platforms, and tools that power user acquisition, activation, and retention. You’ll partner with Product and Design to plan, prioritize, and execute initiatives that accelerate growth — ensuring the team is aligned, supported, and empowered to deliver simple, reliable solutions at scale.
How We Work
- We give engineers ownership and trust them to ship high-impact work with craftsmanship and accountability.
- We move quickly, experiment often, and learn fast from data and feedback.
- We work asynchronously across time zones, supporting each other with open communication and shared goals.
- Our products serve millions of users globally, and our teams operate with the same global mindset — building for scale, accessibility, and trust.
Why This Role Matters
Every decision you make will shape how our teams build and deliver experiences that connect people to our products globally. You lead by setting context, not control — empowering engineers to act with clarity and confidence. You coach through curiosity, communicate openly, and model accountability and empathy — turning alignment and trust into measurable impact.
The opportunity
- Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional team of engineers delivering growth-critical systems and features.
- Collaborate daily with Product and Design to define scope, set priorities, and ensure seamless execution.
- Keep projects moving forward — maintaining clear expectations, realistic estimates, and transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and context to help engineers make sound architectural and implementation decisions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and learning — helping the team grow their impact and autonomy.
- Improve team processes, communication, and collaboration across time zones.
- Partner with other engineering leaders to ensure consistency and best practices across the broader Growth organization.
Skills you should HODL
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
- Strong people leadership skills — you coach, set context, and empower others to make good decisions.
- Solid technical foundation; you can engage in design discussions and help engineers make pragmatic trade-offs.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g. TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python, or similar).
- A product mindset — you care about how your team’s work impacts users and moves key metrics.
- Clear communication and organizational skills, aligning engineering outcomes with business goals.
- Experience operating in distributed, remote-first teams.
Nice to haves
- Experience with analytics, experimentation, or growth tooling.
- Background in developer experience, SDKs, or internal platforms.
- Exposure to scaling teams or processes during high-growth phases.
