Summary

As Copy Editor, you will play a vital role in shaping Algorand’s voice across various platforms. You will be responsible for refining written content, ensuring consistency, and maintaining brand standards across internal and external communications. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and an interest in blockchain technology.

You will work as part of the marketing team and with content creators across the organization to craft compelling narratives that engage audiences, highlight Algorand’s innovations, and meet/exceed performance metrics.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Maintain and enforce the Algorand style guide, ensuring consistency in brand tone and messaging across all content.
  2. Review and edit blog posts, press releases, presentations, reports, and website content for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
  3. Develop original copy for various marketing initiatives, including newsletters, blog posts, and promotional materials.
  4. Conduct research and utilize internal experts to ensure all blockchain-related content is factual and accessible for different audiences.
  5. Analyze content performance, optimizing copy for engagement, SEO, and conversion.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and community teams to understand priorities and align copy strategically.

WHO YOU ARE

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or related field.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in crafting clear, concise, and compelling copy. 
  3. Exceptional grasp of grammar rules.
  4. Experience writing copy in the fintech, technology, software or blockchain space, with a passion and curiosity for researching and verifying information. 
  5. An awareness and genuine interest in contemporary issues and trends relevant to Algorand and the crypto industry.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in SEO and keyword-driven content development.
  7. Strong communication, research, and typing skills.
  8. Creativity, resourcefulness, flexibility, and motivation.
  9. Ability to understand the needs associated with a project and the target audience.
  10. Receptive to feedback.
  11. Able to meet deadlines with consistency.
