Job Description
Summary
You will be a key contributor within the Compliance organization at Block, reporting to the Head of Compliance Strategy & Operations. You will partner with all Compliance functions to implement critical Compliance programs by promoting structure and best practices, and ensuring plans are implemented and scaled. This is a role with exposure to multiple areas of the business with direct exposure to executive leadership across the organization.
You Will
- Develop, implement and embed scalable frameworks, processes, and best practices to ensure planning, execution, and rollout of critical programs.
- Embed with the Business Operations team to ensure functional plans are aligned with our top Compliance Strategic Priorities.
- Manage the annual and quarterly planning process for Compliance by partnering with teams to gather inputs and track progress.
- Proactively identify and drive the implementation of operational and efficiency improvements.
- Support the onboarding and oversight of third-party vendors.
- Budget tracking and management with Finance and Compliance Business Operations.
- Prepare materials and updates, including progress reports on main compliance projects and programs
- Manage functional initiatives by coordinating project plans and holding DRIs accountable for deliverables.
- Understand all company business strategies and work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on projects.
You Have
- 8+ years of experience in strategic execution, business transformation, program management, or a similar role focused on implementing and scaling initiatives; strong preference for experience in a compliance, risk, legal, or strategy function.
- Experience driving programs from concept through successful execution, and to establish scalable frameworks and processes.
- Excellent writing, presenting, and communication skills, demonstrating clear thinking and the ability to articulate complex concepts in simple terms.
- Comfortable working with all teams and levels of employees, and proven ability to achieve measurable results.
- Experience preparing materials for and presenting to leadership.
- Data-driven approach to problem solving and progress tracking.
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to anticipate blockers, manage dependencies, and align team members.
- Experience managing competing deadlines, and escalating appropriately.
- Discretion when handling complex, confidential scenarios.
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
