Summary

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  2. Oversee and review consolidation entries, ensuring accuracy and proper elimination of intercompany transactions.
  3. Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations related to consolidation (e.g., intercompany balances, investments in subsidiaries, etc.).
  4. Prepare group-level reports and analyses, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights to management.
  5. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for the group audit.
  6. Collaborate with subsidiary accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
  7. Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management or business needs.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
  2. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with experience in group reporting or consolidation preferred. Experience in audit is a plus.
  4. Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidated financial reporting principles.
  5. Experience with accounting systems; experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.
  6. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Detail-oriented and organised.
