Summary

Key responsibilities

Financial Operations

Execute tasks of the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting and bookkeeping as well as providing input for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management ;

Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation ;

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards ;

Petty Cash accounting: Supervise and(or) take part in the petty cash accounting function for the group, including disbursements, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls ;

Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and support external and internal audits, ensuring the timely and accurate provision of information. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare financial reports, statements and forecasts for management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies ;

Deliver a complete set of financial statements (annually) and management reports (monthly) in a timely manner as required by management, including income statement, balance sheet (fully supported by schedules) and cash flow for entities assigned, with commentary on performance ;

Proficiency in accounting for prepayments, identifying work that can be capitalized on projects, accruing for expenses is a must ;

A deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS and UAE VAT is essential.

Development

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes accountability and excellence ;

Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve organizational objectives ;

Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc reports and day-to-day tasks ;

Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the blockchain industry.

Ad hoc analysis and review as required ;

Other activities assigned by Finance Manager or Senior Accountant).

Skills requirements

University Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field ;

Previous exposure / knowledge of cryptocurrency industry will be a strong advantage ;

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite ;

Attention to detail, thorough in completing work and use time effectively ;

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills ;

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment ;

Excellent organizational and time management skills ;

Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CMA, CPA) will be preferred ;

5+ years proven experience as an Accountant for holding group with subsidiaries and affiliates setup in multiple jurisdictions.
