THE ROLE

The Messari Analyst Summer Internship Program is designed to introduce new and emerging talent to Messaris Research realm. Throughout the internship, candidates will be carefully matched with a mentor, participate in exclusive Messari events, and tackle substantive Research assignments. Scheduled to unfold at our New York headquarters, these initiatives are designed to cultivate a collaborative and immersive learning environment, professional development, and offer exposure and mentorship from some of the greatest minds in crypto - this is a program like no other.

This hybrid, cohort-based, paid internship program will run from June 4 - August 9, with required in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our NY office, and the option to WFH Monday and Friday. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

• Conduct comprehensive and in-depth research specific to projects
• Deepen your understanding of various relevant aspects of the crypto industry, including technology, legal, regulatory, and compliance
• Gather, summarize, and present data on token distribution and vesting schedules
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess the performance of protocols
• Co-author long-form research reports that inform decision-making by institutional clients
• Contribute to the knowledge base repository and sector-level reports.
• Participate in research meetings and work closely with experienced analysts

WHO YOU ARE: 

• Be a current student at an accredited U.S. university
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a pronounced interest in the crypto sector, familiar with its major themes and sectors, along with a basic understanding of various crypto assets and projects
• Exhibit strong communication skills, with the capability to articulate your ideas clearly and concisely in plain English
• Resourceful, curious, and able to think critically and independently
• Relentless attention to detail with a strong desire to deliver a high-quality product
• Strong quantitative skills

WHAT YOULL LOVE ABOUT THE SUMMER ANALYST INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

• Summer Program Schedule: The program will run from June 4 - August 9, with required in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our NY office, and the option to WFH Monday and Friday. 
• Training Sessions and Workshops: Interns begin their journey with an intensive one-week training to equip them with essential knowledge and skills for their forthcoming rotations. The program also includes ongoing workshops covering various topics, from understanding technical concepts to mastering advanced research techniques.
• One-on-One Mentorship Meetings: Regular meetings with mentors are scheduled to provide interns with a platform to discuss sector specific questions and refine their approach to research assignments under the guidance of their mentors.
• Direct Engagement with Directors: Interns will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one meetings with Directors to discuss their progress, receive direct feedback, and explore future opportunities within the industry. These sessions are pivotal in offering strategic career guidance and fostering a deeper connection with the organizations leadership.
• Hands-On Research Projects: Through their rotations interns will tackle hands-on research projects that challenge them to apply their learning to real-world situations, thereby enhancing their analytical prowess and research skills.
• Messari Mainnet Access: Interns will be granted passes to the Messari Mainnet event, a premier three-day conference that convenes leaders from across the crypto ecosystem. This opportunity not only allows interns to delve into the latest industry trends and innovations but also to connect with thought leaders, potential mentors, and peers from around the globe.
• Team-Building Activities: Beyond the conference, the program features a variety of social events, including team-building activities. These gatherings are tailored to foster a sense of community among the interns and the wider Messari team, facilitating informal networking and camaraderie in a relaxed setting.

COMPENSATION:

The Messari Summer Analyst Internship Program is a paid internship, offering a competitive annualized salary equivalent to $70,000, prorated for the duration of the seasonal summer internship from June 4, 2024, to August 9, 2024. This substantial investment in our interns reflects the value we place on their contributions and our commitment to providing a meaningful and rewarding professional experience.
