Summary

Responsibilities

1. Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals (OKRs/KPIs), and provide continuous, constructive feedback to team members.
2. Mentorship & Coaching: Actively mentor engineers to improve their technical hard skills (code quality, architecture) and soft skills (communication, leadership).
3. Career Development: Design and support career growth plans for your direct reports, helping them advance from junior to senior/staff levels.
4. Hiring & Culture: Participate in recruitment to build a high-performing team and foster an engineering culture of psychological safety, ownership, and excellence.
5. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a full-stack squad, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews.
6. Technical Direction: Make critical engineering decisions regarding architecture, technology selection, and best practices.
7. Optimization: Drive performance optimization efforts, applying computer science fundamentals to solve complex algorithmic problems.
8. SEO Strategy: Collaborate with product teams to implement technical SEO best practices to maximize organic growth.
9. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the technical point of contact, communicating effectively with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience managing or leading a web engineering team (Tech Lead or Engineering Manager role).
2. Deep proficiency in React and Next.js, specifically with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) implementation.
3. Strong grounding in Computer Science theories, including algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization patterns.
4. Solid understanding of technical SEO principles (Core Web Vitals, crawling/indexing).
5. Ability to lead a full-stack squad with a comprehensive understanding of how frontend interacts with backend services.

Preferred

1. Domain Expertise: Experience working in Crypto Exchanges (CEX/DEX), Fintech, or High-Performance/Real-Time Web Applications (e.g., trading dashboards, live data visualization).
2. Language: Excellent command of English (Verbal and Written).
3. Cloud Native: Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud-native environments (e.g., Vercel, Cloudflare, AWS).
4. Cross-Platform: Experience or familiarity with cross-platform development (Mobile/Web).
5. Advanced Engineering: Experience with edge computing or advanced caching strategies.
