As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

1. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
2. Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
3. Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
4. Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
5. Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
6. Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
7. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience in Java, AWS, Springboot, Terraforms
2. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
3. Hands-on experience working with AWS stack/services, Java and Spring
4. Working experience of AWS RDS/Aurora Database/AWS EKS/ECS/Lambda
5. Experience in AWS SQS/SNS, Terraform for AWS resource/service provisioning 
6. Experience building and debugging large-scale web services, and microservices based, Kubernetes-orchestrated applications.
7. Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within AWS public cloud
8. Experience in React JS is mandatory. Must have at least 1+ years of experience in ReactJS. 
9. Experience in providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.
10. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.

1. Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
2. Exposure to cloud technologies, web services is a plus
