The Nodes Infrastructure team at Chainalysis operates with the primary goal of building a robust, scalable, and efficient platform for onboarding new blockchain networks. This team is a part of the Network Lifecycle Management Team (NLM) and collaborates closely with the Developer Platform team to leverage provided primitives. A successful engineer for our nodes infrastructure team brings expertise in various areas including AWS services, Kubernetes and data streaming technologies. You’ll possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges, with additional knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.

In this role, you’ll: 

1. Operate and evolve highly available and performant engineering platform services such Kubernetes, Artifactory and CICD Platforms
2. Enable Blockchain Foundations teams to avoid hand-offs through self-serve engineering platform services
3. Reduce the barriers for protocol engineers at Chainalysis to deploy new blockchain networks
4. Champion best practices for monitoring and observability
5. Harden production systems (maintain uptime targets, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery and security requirements) 
6. Share innovative ideas and contribute to the team roadmap
7. Work with Information Security to improve the systems used to test releases for security issues 
8. Develop best practices around use of cloud technology (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka).

We’re looking for candidates who have:  

1. An understanding of AWS services and technologies such as IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, and Lambda
2. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
3. Strong coding experience with GoLang, Java or Python.
4. Experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting tooling to automate common development processes, reducing the manual effort required to execute tasks. 
5. Experience monitoring production systems (DataDog, Prometheus, etc.)
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
7. Expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
8. Streaming experience with Kafka, Kinesis or similar

Nice to have experience: 

1. Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry - or a strong desire to learn (we can help!).
2. Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.
