Summary

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at VALR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform. Working closely with the Blockchain team, you will be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that powers our exchange, with a focus on Kubernetes and Linux-based systems.

What will you be doing:

  • Collaborate with the Blockchain team to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions that support our crypto exchange platform.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of critical systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Automate deployment processes and implement best practices for configuration management to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to optimise system performance and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for emergencies and troubleshoot system outages.

What we look for in you:

  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Extensive experience working with Linux-based systems and proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and experience working with crypto wallets is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
