Job Description
Summary
As our Senior Specialist, Treasury – Liquidity, your mission is to strengthen Bitpanda’s liquidity management framework by optimising funding strategies, ensuring liquidity risk resilience, and supporting the business from both a risk and commercial perspective. You will be instrumental in managing liquidity positions, driving liquidity-related initiatives, and ensuring robust oversight of borrowing and investment activities within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the daily liquidity position and funding requirements, ensuring optimal liquidity coverage and alignment with internal risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
- Drive the development and implementation of liquidity risk management frameworks, including IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book) and stress testing.
- Support funding and borrowing activities to build liquidity buffers and deploy liquidity effectively for investment opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Risk, and Product) to enhance liquidity monitoring, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely liquidity reporting, providing actionable insights to senior management on liquidity trends, risks, and optimisation opportunities.
Who You Are
- You bring 3–5 years of experience in Treasury, Liquidity Management, or Risk within Financial Services, Banking, or Fintech.
- Strong understanding of liquidity risk, IRRBB, funding strategies, and balance sheet management from both a risk and business perspective.
- Working knowledge of stablecoins/electronic money tokens, and related regulatory and operational considerations.
- Analytical mindset with advanced Excel and SQL skills; Python or data visualisation experience is a strong plus.
- Independent, detail-oriented, and proactive collaborator with strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex liquidity concepts into business insights.
