Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and administration of tools and systems across the Business Technology Team. Individuals who will excel in this role are able to drive scale across multiple systems, design and implement integrations, cultivate relationships across the business, and deliver security initiatives, all while creating the best possible user experiences for employees at Chainalysis.

The person in this role will develop strong relationships with our business partners and stakeholders through trust and operational excellence. They will mentor other members of the BizTech engineering and operational groups. They will be able to balance the needs of an outstanding user experience with requirements around our security and compliance.

In this role, you’ll:

1. Provide intuitive technology experiences to our employees through technical and business process improvements, and to our partners through your strategic collaboration
2. Partner with your peers to build and deliver a System Roadmap that balances our needs for scale, a high bar for user experience, and the security of the company
3. Own the architecture and technology choices critical to the continued success and growth of the company and the BizTech organization
4. In collaboration with Compliance/Security, you’ll deliver solutions that address identified gaps in our environment while maintaining a seamless user experience
5. Build out the team through mentorship of junior members in BizTech and participation in ongoing hiring efforts

We’re looking for candidates who have:

1. Broad expertise across several core IT systems (Google, Slack, JAMF, Atlassian, Microsoft, Okta)
2. Demonstrated experience in roles of similar scope, preferably within technology companies
3. Strong experience administering and integrating collaboration systems (Google, Slack, etc.)
4. History of demonstrating adaptability, resilience, support, and diversity within your teams
5. Able to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences with varying levels of expertise
6. Demonstrated experience mentoring other engineers and operational specialists
7. Previous experience with Mergers & Acquisition efforts within IT

Nice to have experience:

1. Background in FinTech or Crypto is great, but not required
2. Background building world-class systems built for scale
3. Strong scripting skills are preferred
