Summary

Operating at the intersection of software development, infrastructure, and reliability, you will act as a force multiplier for the squad. You will partner with engineering teams to co-design and modernize our toolchain, focusing on expediting feature delivery while simultaneously fortifying our systems to adhere to the exacting standards required by our new institutional clientele. You will also galvanize deeper collaboration between Platform and Product engineering teams

In this role, you’ll:

1. Empower the teams to own their release quality and build the tooling, automation, and guardrails that allow product engineers to manage their own CI/CD pipelines and deploy to production independently.
2. Codify the standards for a TradFi-ready foundation. Working collaboratively with the team, you defined and implemented the Infrastructure-as-Code patterns that meet our rigorous security and compliance needs.
3. Ensure that compliant, secure-by-default infrastructure is easy for developers to provision, preventing you from becoming a bottleneck.
4. Embed a culture of proactive reliability. You helped the team define their own Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and actionable alerts, by establishing clear observability standards, and give developers the visibility they need to own the health of their services and detect issues before our customers do.
5. Successfully level up the team to be self-sufficient in debugging pipelines and managing basic infrastructure.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

1. A strategic blend of DevOps, Infrastructure, and SRE principles to set architectural patterns, guiding the team on how to build systems that balance velocity with reliability.
2. Experience steering technical modernizations, helping teams migrate from legacy systems to modern standards (such as Kubernetes, IaC, and Github Actions) while maintaining product momentum.
3. Thrive in an embedded model, enabling your squad to unblock themselves through better tooling and education while acting as a strategic bridge to the central Platform team.
4. An understanding of the rigor of FinTech or Enterprise SaaS, knowing how to design system constraints for institutional clients where reliability is a contractual obligation.
5. Foster a culture of shared ownership, preferring to coach engineers on operational best practices rather than functioning as a permanent support desk.
