Summary

We have an opening for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the Fidelity Institutional Technology group in Galway. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing & implementing high-performance, secure and scalable applications to support the Fidelity Institutional business. You will also have the opportunity to grow and develop professionally within the Fidelity organisation.

This role will form part of an exciting new group building innovative capabilities to support the rollout of new Digital Asset financial instruments in the Institutional market.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

1. 5+ years’ experience in software quality engineering
2. Experience creating test automation solutions in tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Karate, Selenium, TestNG, SoapUI
3. Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools
4. Proficient in Java or equivalent object oriented software languages
5. Good level of SQL and database knowledge
6. Familiar with some of the following: Spring/Spring Boot, Angular (or other JavaScript or Typescript frameworks), RESTful services
7. Familiar with AWS or equivalent cloud-based services
8. Experience with Agile methodologies and ceremonies
9. Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

The Purpose of Your Role

1. As part of a scrum team made up of other software engineers and systems analysts, you will contribute to the QA automation strategy for our applications, to enable rapid delivery of key customer features
2. Work collaboratively with engineering and business colleagues to help define acceptance criteria and derive release testing requirements
3. Design, implement and execute functional and regression test cases/suites
4. Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes
5. Analyse and report test results, project tracking and product release readiness
6. Develop minor application features in Mid-Tier and/or UI
