Summary

The Senior Manager – Business Development (Payments) will play a key role in expanding Algorand’s presence across the global payments ecosystem. This senior individual contributor will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and executing partnerships that integrate Algorand into payment infrastructure providers including payment orchestrators, wallet-as-a-service platforms, stablecoin issuers, PSPs, and other fintech enablers.

This is a hands-on execution role focused on sourcing and closing integration deals, then driving tangible payments volume through those partners. The successful candidate will combine a deep understanding of the payments landscape with strong commercial instincts and execution excellence.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this individual will collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams, marketing, and ecosystem teams to ensure Algorand is deeply embedded in key payments distribution channels, including neobanks, digital wallets, and fintech platforms.  

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Source, negotiate, and close integration partnerships with global payments infrastructure providers (payment orchestrators, PSPs, stablecoin issuers, and wallet platforms).
  2. Drive the expansion of the Algorand network by adding support for Algorand assets across key distribution venues such as neobanks, wallets, and fintechs.
  3. Develop and execute go-to-market initiatives with partners to grow transaction and settlement volume on Algorand.
  4. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic payments integrations, managing opportunities from initial contact through signed agreements and activation.
  5. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth implementation of integrations.
  6. Track and report on partnership performance, identifying opportunities to deepen integrations and increase payment flows.
  7. Represent Algorand Foundation externally at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings as a trusted and credible business development lead.
  8. Work cross-functionally with marketing, developer relations, and ecosystem growth teams to maximize the impact of payments initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE / KEY REQUIREMENTS

  1. 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, with a focus on payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure.
  2. Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex commercial partnerships in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Deep understanding of the payments value chain, including PSPs, stablecoin issuers, and wallet technologies.
  4. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate technical integrations into clear business value.
  5. Experience working with cross-functional teams particularly technical and marketing stakeholders to deliver partnership outcomes.
  6. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, decentralized, and fast-moving environment.
  8. Familiarity with blockchain or digital assets is preferred but not required.
