Summary

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Notabene, you will be at the forefront of changing how people perform everyday payments using stablecoins. You will own and be responsible for evolving and maintaining our core embedded Payments UI components, that enables critical compliance steps in our customers' payment flows. The Payments UI gathering additional information from end users to keep transactions safe, including interfacing with a broad variety of web3 and hardware wallets.

In this role, you’ll work with Svelte and various mobile development frameworks such as React Native to deliver a seamless experience across web and mobile, ensuring that our components are performant, secure, and easy to integrate. You'll also collaborate closely with product, security, and platform teams to bring new features to market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure secure and compliant data handling within our embedded component, with particular attention to collection of sensitive data and interacting with crypto wallets
2. Collaborate with product, design, security, and platform teams to align the Payments UX functionality with the Notabene platform
3. Advocate for best practices in frontend development and security, helping to set a high standard for the technical implementation of embedded applications

What you bring to Notabene

1. 7+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 3+ years focused on developing embedded UI components used in payments, web3, authentication, or similar secure applications
2. Strong Web3 experience with a cutting-edge knowledge of not just how crypto transactions are settled today but emerging payments use cases
3. Deep understanding of cryptography, public/private key encryption/signing. Knowledge of decentralized identity, verifiable credentials, and DIDComm is highly preferred
4. Proficiency in Svelte, with experience building and optimizing accessible components for both web and mobile. Obsession for small bundle sizes is greatly appreciated.
5. Strong knowledge of web security and PII handling best practices, especially as it relates to handling sensitive user data in embedded UIs
6. Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, web sockets, and a solid understanding of event-driven data flows, ideally within the context of payment or identity verification systems
7. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a global, remote-first company
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write, present, and collaborate across teams and departments
