Summary
We're looking for someone who can join our engineering team to provide direction and setup DevOps capabilities in the function.
We're pretty remote-friendly, ideally looking for the candidate to be based within Australia or an APAC country that allows for a minimum of 5hr crossover collaboration time with the teams.

Ideally you are someone with:
- Experience building and managing secure, highly available, cross-region, robust infrastructure in AWS.
- Built knowledge of setting up, securing, managing, and monitoring containerised services using ECR/CES/EKS.
- Experience using Terraform to automate the build and management of base infrastructure services.
- Made extensive use of AWS (or equivalent cloud provider) technologies such as ALB, RDS, IAM, VPC, SNS, SQS. etc.
- Experience in building and defining build and release pipelines using tools like Gitlab, Github Actions, Buildkit or equivalent.
- Developed strong scripting skills with Python/go and bash Experience working with Linux environments.
- Ideally, a background in software engineering would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Standardize SRE best practice.
- Build and maintain reliable infrastructure pipelines, Working closely with software development to help optimize development workflow.
- Identify relevant business metrics and implement real-time monitoring, alerting, trending and dashboarding.
- Identify high ROI problems for remediation and cost savings/margin improvement.
- Identify common issues and come up with solutions on how to reduce their impact or remove them altogether.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Expert level production AWS experience.
- Strong understanding of SRE responsibilities.
- Strong automation mindset.
- A collaborator, who works for empowering other developers over control.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and instrumentation.
- Good awareness of security practices and relative industry compliance experience is a plus.
- Good awareness of infrastructure cost (Cost reduction experience is a plus).
- Software development experience, comfortable with multiple languages.
