Summary

As a senior Backend Developer, you will be a part of the team that works on the development and maintenance of the backend components of multiple services related to the platform. This includes:

1. New Products and Features - Tether continuously strives to create innovative new features in order to provide the most professional experience for customers. These are developed and deployed using agile methodologies, to ensure the user experience remains the best in the industry.
2. Scalability - all backend services that power Tether platform must remain effortlessly smooth, responsive, and real-time for customers as the platform continues to scale to accommodate new user growth.
3. Security - Tether makes Security its most important feature. The Backend Development team is responsible for building all the API services and backend processes with the highest security principles and standard, in order to protect the safety of the entire user base.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, practical architectures.
2. Improve existing core backend services written in NodeJS
3. Implement new solutions that interact with different core services through RPC calls
4. Write complex database queries for compliance and financial purposes

Job requirements

1. At least 5 years of experience working with Javascript/Nodejs.
2. Familiar with microservices architecture
3. Have actively participated in the development of a complex platform
4. Good experience in interacting with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
5. Ability to quickly learn new technologies
6. Good understanding of security practices

Preferred skills:

1. Experience with blockchain integration
2. Comfortable with high-availability concepts
3. Ruby and Rails experience
4. Other technologies of interest: Message queues (Redis), Caches and Job Queues
