The Opportunity

We seek a highly motivated, intellectually curious Research Analyst to join our growing CF Benchmarks team. You will play a key role developing our research division, generating valuable insights, reports, and papers on cryptocurrency markets for institutional investors and broader audiences. You will creatively identify narratives and signals across the evolving cryptocurrency ecosystem. This exciting opportunity demands a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication, and genuine passion for the fast-paced cryptocurrency world. • Conduct in-depth cryptocurrency market research on trends, volumes, liquidity, dynamics, etc.
• Analyze datasets using statistical tools to extract meaningful insights and visualizations.
• Generate comprehensive research reports and analysis to educate clients, adjacent stakeholders, and broader audiences. 
• Effectively communicate findings through written reports, presentations, and client interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance benchmarking methodologies and develop new indices.
• Closely monitor cryptocurrency developments, identifying emerging trends, market intelligence, and risks.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality control for research and insights.

Skills you should HODL

• 1-3 years experience in financial research, investment strategy, portfolio management or data analysis. 
• Bachelors degree in finance, economics, data science, or related field is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required. 
• Understanding of index use cases and cryptocurrency market structure. 
• Detail-oriented with commitment to accurate, reliable research.
• Data analysis proficiency in Excel is required.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Intellectual curiosity and deep interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain along with some familiarity with cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Statistical analysis and modeling knowledge.
• Able to work in a team environment whilst benefitting from great autonomy.
• Self-starting, ambitious, and motivated by the opportunity to define an emerging asset class.

Nice to have

• CFA designation or progress towards.
• Proficiency in Python or R is a plus.
• Understanding of Portfolio theory and practical experience is a plus. 
• Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced fintech startup environment is a bonus.
