Job Description
Summary
Every user’s Roblox journey begins with their Account. From initial user signup and login to privacy settings and controls, the Accounts team works to ensure that all users can securely access Roblox at all times, and that their data is safe and protected.
As a product manager on the Accounts Safety team, you will build out the strategy, roadmap, and features to better understand our users and build out our user identity model. You’ll collaborate with engineers, designers, and data scientists to improve the overall account and identity experience, helping create a more safe and secure platform.
A major focus of this role is leveraging identity signals to protect our community. This includes detecting bot accounts, identifying users who cheat or violate our policies, and preventing banned users from returning via alternate accounts. In addition, you will build the corresponding user experience for user challenges and data collection. You will also work closely with other teams across Roblox to protect their features from bad actors.
You Will:
- Define and manage product requirements from concept to launch.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, analysts, and product owners to drive the planning and execution of complex product requirements.
- Balance input from a wide variety of internal stakeholders and partners with potentially competing priorities and timelines.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate cross-team initiatives as well as blocking issues.
You Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of product management experience, including work on products related to safety, identity, and privacy.
- An effective communicator, with strong listening, verbal, and written skills.
- Dynamic and flexible, who creates opportunity out of uncertainty and ambiguity (e.g. changing requirements or incomplete data).
- A problem solver, who approaches challenges with a logical and systematic framework.
