Summary

The Web team at Cash App takes a horizontal view of the Cash App experience, collaborating with brand, product, and engineering partners to build next generation experiences that power the future of Cash App. We are seeking an imaginative and driven designer to join our growing team, focusing on leading the visual design, motion and evolution of our web surfaces. This is a hands-on role for a designer passionate about building and evolving systems from concept through execution.. 

You Will

1. Drive visual design evolution: Lead the aesthetic and experience of the website alongside leads and our Design Systems team, ensuring the Cash App brand comes to life in our website.
2. Lead with AI first design and development mindset. 
3. Shape core aspects of the Cash App website: Establish and evolve UI such as building data visualization, motion application. 
4. Elevate brand expression: Integrate our brand into the product through innovative and opinionated visual design and visual asset libraries, ensuring unique brand moments at the right touchpoints for our users.
5. Build systematically: Help build our design system, creating comprehensive frameworks, documentation, and libraries that other designers can follow to bring their work to life visually.
6. End-to-end accountability: Obsess over the process from early concept through implementation, ensuring a well-crafted and beautiful outcome.
7. Coach the creative direction: Be a trusted advisor on all things Cash App’s visual language with partners and system consumers.
8. Help shape the future of finance and how customers are empowered to manage their money.
9. Lead work driving fundamental concepts across mobile and desktop.
10. Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams.
11. Give and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise our bar for quality.

You Have

1. Experience building and evolving websites and apps.
2. A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging websites.
3. Outstanding systems thinking, visual design, and product thinking for websites.
4. Experience applying research, usability tests, and metrics to inform design decisions.
5. Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback.
6. Strong analytical, technical, and strategic experience.
7. Experience defining motion libraries for UI.
8. Experience building data visualization libraries consumed by product teams.
9. Experience collaborating across disciplines to lead or support a new idea or product to launch.
10. Experience conducting and guiding user research and cross-functional collaboration.
11. Proven skills in presenting work, workshopping concepts, and evangelizing new ideas.
12. Experience with front-end engineering constraints and direct experience partnering with Front-end Engineering (iOS/Android).
13. Experience designing for inclusivity and for diverse audiences (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities).
14. 6+ years of experience on creative teams and in technical environments.
15. 8+ years of software design, visual design, interaction design, UX design, and prototyping experience.
