Summary

We are seeking a highly driven, organized, and inquisitive team member to join our growing Platform Solutions & Operations team as a Platform Solutions SVP to lead Alternative Investment Platform Operations delivery efforts. This role will work cross-functionally with Partners, Clients, and leaders spanning all CAIS departments. The Platform Operations SVP is highly detail oriented and ensures CAIS provides high-quality support and services for our clients.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Lead CAIS Platform Operations activities across the Pre-Trade, Trade, and Post-Trade phases of investment
  2. Manage delegation and prioritization of daily BAU
  3. Ensure SLAs are met, and team is staffed sufficiently
  4. Provide timely, professional, and accurate support to clients and partners
  5. Perform business and data analysis to troubleshoot problems, support data driving decisions, and develop reports and dashboards
  6. Implement solutions to optimize Platform Operations
  7. Serve as an escalation point for your line of business
  8. Know what other clients are asking for and help them to determine priorities and what to consult them away from.
  9. Consult with clients in the moment, provide recommendations for scope/solutions.
  10. Drive planning, monitoring and management of high-impact projects from initiation to completion. Accountable, through team execution, for delivery of tactical business targets.
  11. Provide strategic oversight for projects
  12. Drive project scoping including development of business requirements and translation to technical, process, and people needs
  13. Leverage deep industry knowledge for client/partner consulting and to identify best possible “solutions”
  14. Lead strategic discovery for large initiatives; balance client needs with company strategy
  15. Predict and manage resources needed to meet business requirements, achieve stakeholder objectives and ensure satisfaction without oversight from manager or project sponsor.  
  16. When necessary, build business cases for capacity needs and escalate with management.
  17. Anticipate and address trends; position resources for future needs
  18. Maintain project tracking tools and other internal and external resources, including Confluence, SharePoint, and Airtable, to ensure deadlines are met  
  19. Identify risks to project deliverables and partner with management and key stakeholders to plan mitigation efforts. Identify mitigation strategies, coordinating stakeholders, and managing execution.
  20. Effectively and proactively communicate project status to stakeholders and manage expectations with executive level management.
  21. Articulate long-term vision; manage strategic communications proactively; develop strategic direction for high-level delivery and operations
  22. Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or enhance existing processes. Submit and oversee resolution of technology and operations requests including configuration, enhancements, and break-fix issues according to client specifications during the testing process and immediately following launch, with minimal supervision
  23. Build high-impact relationships within firm and client base; maintain strong external networks. Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages that relate to the wider firm business. 
  24. Work alongside Platform Product Management, Marketing and/or Strategy to create client and partner facing collateral on new solutions. Collect and define content to be included in training and self-service materials (integration / user guides), detailed platform experience for similar clients as well as broader wins / lessons learned to be used in future sales discussions.  
  25. Engage with clients and/or partners collaborating cross-functionally to propose and secure new strategic business opportunities and solutions
  26. Act as strategic advisor in client/partner engagements; shape and lead solution proposals for significant accounts/partners
  27. Support business development calls and draft sales-oriented presentations geared toward specific client needs based on your domain of expertise
  28. Engage in pre-sales sales support activity (art of possible, how platform works, define best solution) based on priorities and as assigned via direction from leadership 

Qualifications

 

  1. Must have exceptional critical thinking and team-based problem-solving skills.
  2. Self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly in a fast-paced environment and will implement new methods to improve ways of working.
  3. 8+ years of experience in solutions / operations within financial services
  4. Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related discipline required
  5. Alternative Fund Knowledge/Experience is a required
  6. Experience with data analysis applications such as excel, SQL, and Tableau
  7. Experience learning and applying new applications to build solutions, especially with GenAI
  8. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  9. Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  10. Strong commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of the team
  11. Excellent relationship management aptitude and attitude
  12. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and comfort learning new application/tech as needed
  13. Experience with project management applications such as Airtable, Jira, Asana, Monday or similar planning and tracking applications.
  14. Prior experience in a small to mid-sized firm or startup environment preferred

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
