Summary

Technical Skills:

  1. Deep understanding of how transactions flow from purchase orders/corporate cards/expense reports to transactions posted to the general ledger
  2. Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and suggest creative solutions

Complexity and Impact of Work:

  1. Responsible for the full lifecycle of moderately complex projects, from planning to deployment
  2. Defined priorities, and applies problem-solving skills with minimal supervision

Organizational Knowledge:

  1. Understands Anchorage’s strategic goals and integrates them into their own planning and goal-setting
  2. Clearly communicates how their work contributes to the department's priorities

Communication and Influence:

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

  1. 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a fast paced, startup environment
  2. Experience in designing and implementing processes that improve the efficiency of the accounts payable process
  3. Experience in managing corporate credit cards and expense reports, with attention to compliance to company policies
  4. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with business partners to accomplish the company’s mission
  5. Experience in maintaining and implementing internal controls
  6. Ability to work autonomously, in a remote environment, while providing proper oversight of processes

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

  1. Experience in procurement and vendor negotiations
  2. Experience working at a publicly traded company
