Summary

The team

The Regional Growth team is focused on growing our client base, transaction volume, and revenue Kraken’s core geographies. We primarily drive local marketing strategy and execution, while working cross-functionally with product, pricing, banking/funding, sales, and global marketing functions to deliver a complete growth approach.

This role will be accountable for Germany growth and will push for optimal Kraken positioning and competitiveness versus local competitors. Our objective is to differentiate Kraken’s brand and product offering, while persuading prospective clients to choose Kraken for their crypto, payments, and investment needs.

We are seeking an experienced marketer that has proven experience in generating awareness and persuading clients in Germany. Someone that has the leadership experience in rapid growth and being a spokesperson in their country, while also having the willingness to execute a multi-channel strategy autonomously.

The opportunity

  1. Develop marketing strategies to bolster Kraken’s market share in region, while working with cross-functional teams to execute.
  2. Grow new users in-region and improve performance across their customer lifecycle including initial onboarding, trading, and growth across Kraken’s product suite.
  3. Leverage global campaigns, creatives, content, and brand guidelines to localize according to the preferences of regional audiences.
  4. Develop local-first ideas that uniquely position Kraken’s brand and persuade potential customers to take our calls to action.
  5. Roll your sleeves up - this may include producing content, planning/managing events, bolstering Kraken web pages, localizing ads, managing local social media handles, representing Kraken in PR and interviews, and much more. We are looking for versatile marketers that can work with others and do it themselves when necessary.
  6. Measure results; work with our data to understand marketing performance and make recommendations to adjust for greater effectiveness.

Skills you should HODL

  1. 7+ years in a marketing role where you autonomously developed marketing/growth strategies and delivered successful campaigns.
  2. A proven track record in growing new users in a highly competitive environment.
  3. Regional expertise (language, culture, etc) for this geography. Additional country expertise is a bonus.
  4. Advanced crypto knowledge including how crypto products work, crypto revenue models, and the crypto players in your region.
  5. Experience with marketing in a regulated business, preferably in financial services.
  6. Strong knowledge of marketing analytics including key ratios and performance metrics, attribution modeling, and A/B testing. Proven use of analytical tools and MarTech.
  7. We will strongly assess creative thinking; we are looking for people that have growth ideas grounded in logic and data, while being capable of supporting their ideas and persuading others to enact them
