● Acting as a bridge between the art team and the engineering team, I ensure the visuals are realized within the constraints of the game engine/software.
● Promoting the optimization of art assets for real-time rendering
● Design and development of an efficient art pipeline and tools.
● Identifying and resolving bugs and implementation problems that occur during production.
● Balancing the required visual quality and performance
● Participate as a core member of the development pipeline, and take an active role in formulating production standards and designing operations.
Application Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science (or equivalent knowledge and experience)
● Experience in game development with Unity 3D: 5+ years
● Expert-level knowledge of the Unity engine
● Experience leading artist and TA (or similar) teams: 5+ years
● Deep understanding of game development workflows, experience in building and optimizing pipelines including DCC tools (e.g., data conversion/automation, naming conventions, import settings optimization, verification flow development, etc.)
● Knowledge and experience in real-time 3D graphics optimization for target platforms (especially mobile) ● Experience in shader and visual expression development using HLSL and ShaderGraph
● Proficiency in C# scripting within the Unity environment
● Able to prioritize tasks appropriately and perform them consistently, even under pressure.
● Strong problem-solving skills and self-reliance (ability to define problems independently, prioritize them, and drive them through to resolution)
● Can adapt and move forward even in environments with little prior information or where the situation is constantly changing.
● Able to organize and explain key points to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (including management) and build consensus.
● A willingness to take initiative and see things through to solve problems when necessary.
Welcome skills
● Development experience with Unity 6
● VFX design and mass production support (Particle/Timeline/Sequencer, etc.)
● Tool/pipeline development (editor extensions using C#/Python, etc., import automation, validation automation)
● Knowledge of DCC tools (Maya/Blender/Substance/Photoshop, etc.), practical experience in engine integration, and experience in rendering pipelines/quality control (URP/HDRP, Unreal Rendering, post-processing, etc.)
● Experience in multi-platform development (Mobile/PC/Console)
● Experience in systematizing CI/build/asset validation
● Experience in quantifying improvements in productivity and quality by integrating generation AI into the production workflow.
● Establishment of AI usage rules (rights/management/verification procedures) and ensuring the reproducibility of output (version/difference/review criteria)
