Role Summary

The Moon Group and its affiliates are involved in the blockchain and tech development industry. We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to support the business. We are involved in various projects worldwide. The working environment is fast-paced at the forefront of the industry. Our aim is to become the biggest blockchain ecosystem.

This will be a full-time position on-site. The office is based in Dubai Media City, UAE.

Duties/Responsibilities

You will be working on all legal issues related to Corporate Governance and Contracts. You will work closely with one of the CEOs with general legal issues 50% of your time.

Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the company's operations. Identifying legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Conducting legal research, analyzing laws and regulations, and providing legal opinions and recommendations to the company's management and stakeholders.

In addition to working with the Legal team, you will have the exciting opportunity to work proactively with other teams in the company, such as finance, marketing, investments, media, and gaming.

Required Skills

• Completed a law degree and achieved at least 2:1 ;
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Fintech and blockchain industry ;
• 5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with exposure to either one of these, which includes Web-3 games, Investments, fintech, or blockchain sectors, preferred in the UAE ;
• Strong knowledge and working experience in contract law, corporate law, intellectual property law, and regulatory compliance procedures such as corporate governance, annual filings, and governance procedures ;
• Excellent communication and drafting skills ;
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written; Arabic is plus ;
• Driven and ambitious because this position is very well suited for a person who wants to build a career ;
• Great personality and being a team player ;
• Experienced in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SharePoint is a plus ;
• At least two references.
