Summary

Ripple is strengthening its Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to align initiatives and offer data-driven decision support to collaborators.

Reporting to the Vice President, FP&A, the finance manager will coordinate the month-close process, creating best-practices and standardized reporting. This role will be responsible for managing operating expenses (Opex) Budget vs. Actual (BVA) analysis, headcount reporting, and Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expense management. The ideal candidate will play a meaningful role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure accurate financial performance tracking and decision-making support. This is a significant position within the finance organization with direct contribution to highly visible outputs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  1. Lead month-end close activities, collaborating with accounting and other finance partners to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Develop standardized, automated reporting to establish a single source of up-to-date information for efficient analysis.
  3. Establish yourself as the primary FP&A business partner managing Opex BVA analysis, providing insights into variances.
  4. Oversee headcount tracking, budgeting, and forecasting in alignment with business needs.
  5. Report and analyze T&E expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  6. Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting and financial commentary for our Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  7. Partner cross-functionally to build and maintain financial projections, including the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts, and a rolling monthly outlook.
  8. Conduct ad hoc financial modeling to provide actionable insights for our business.
  9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

In this role that involves working across different functions, candidates must have strong analytical skills with great attention to detail. The perfect candidate will have experience in financial modeling and using analysis to impact decision-making. The candidate should be proactive with a strong work ethic, curious, and enjoy solving complex problems with attention to detail.

  1. Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus but not required
  2. 5+ years of relevant progressive experience; problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desirable
  3. We also value experience in FP&A within a rapidly growing network business, or at a top investment bank
  4. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, prior Anaplan or programming experience a plus
  5. Excels in a fast-paced, demanding environment; able to manage multiple tasks and balance several time-sensitive projects, while adapting to changing priorities
  6. Able to build and deliver effective presentations to senior leaders with wide-ranging, often non-financial backgrounds

For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. 

CA Annual Base Salary Range

$144,000—$180,000 USD
