Summary
As an Engineering Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of hardware products by coordinating NPI builds, managing logistics, and ensuring engineering documentation and assets are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You are a customer-focused organizer who thrives in fast-paced environments, manages rapid changes gracefully, and sweats the details. You will work closely with engineers across all disciplines, Program Managers in engineering and operations, Product Lifecycle Analysts, Finance, and domestic and overseas suppliers and partners.
You Will
- Drive cross functional teams to deliver Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in time to support approval deadlines
- Coordinate OK2 (readiness checklist) reviews and approval activities
- Manage part numbers and complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) with engineering teams
- Oversee material allocations, schedules, and logistics with manufacturers
- Plan NPI hardware allocations across multiple engineering sites
- Manage local suppliers, materials, and purchase orders for quick-turn board builds
- Partner with Program Managers and Finance on development build budgets, purchase requisitions, and invoice reconciliation
- Ship, receive, track, and distribute prototype units; manage prototype inventory across engineering sites
- Schedule executive reviews and present program findings to stakeholders
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate status and key updates to program managers and leads
- Develop, document, improve, and present team processes to enable our best work
- Ensure compliance with relevant security, safety, and product requirements
You Have
- 3+ years of industry experience in NPI program management, consumer electronics, or a similar coordination role - or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of configuration management principles, including ECO workflows and BOM structuring
- Proficiency with complex spreadsheets, including creating and using formulas and functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to cross-functional and executive audiences
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes
- Availability to support off-hours needs as required by program schedules
- Ability to work across time zones (Pacific Time and China Time) and travel internationally as needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Background in finance, operations, or program management
- Experience with R&D finance and budget reconciliation
