Job Description
Summary
Lead and scale the team powering our Payments Infrastructure—owning everything from PSP integrations to seamless connectivity with a diverse ecosystem of internal and external services. You'll be at the heart of a critical function, ensuring our platform remains resilient, scalable, and ready to support 25M+ users.
What you’ll do
- Shape the technical vision for our Payments Infrastructure, partnering with Product to define and refine the roadmap—balancing innovation, technical debt, and service impact.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, creating an environment where engineers are empowered to do their best work—even in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
- Drive agile execution with precision: lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure delivery remains smooth and iterative improvement is continuous.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering leaders, product stakeholders, and business teams to ensure alignment with company-wide architectural and strategic goals.
- Invest in your team’s long-term success: conduct thoughtful 1:1s, set career development plans, and provide coaching that supports both professional growth and personal resilience during periods of change.
Who you are
- Deep experience in the payments domain, with a history of delivering resilient, scalable systems that support high-volume, real-time financial transactions.
- A confident and empathetic leader with the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive architectural clarity, and inspire teams through complex challenges.
- Proven background in senior technical leadership, including hands-on involvement in developing digital products, designing service architectures, and working iteratively in agile environments.
- Strong commitment to team development, with experience conducting performance reviews, setting growth paths, and fostering a culture of feedback and improvement.
- Technically adept and detail-oriented, with bonus familiarity in PHP/Java, DevOps tooling, Infrastructure-as-Code, Apache Kafka, and message-driven microservices.
