Summary

As the Engineering Lead, Trust, you will oversee the core product engineering teams responsible for Identity, Access & Security, Limits, Risk & Fraud Controls, Disputes & Support, and Money Movement at Cash App. This role is pivotal in fostering trust, safety, and security while ensuring seamless access and support for our customers. This is an opportunity to expand authentic access, mitigate risk, and deepen trust with our customers - helping shape the future of financial trust and security across the Cash App ecosystem.

You Will

  1. Lead and scale a high-performing engineering organization responsible for Identity, Access & Security, Limits, Risk & Fraud Controls, Disputes & Support, and Money Movement at Cash App.
  2. Define and drive the technical strategy for Trust Server Engineering, ensuring the platform remains secure, resilient, and scalable.
  3. Oversee the development of innovative risk mitigation and security solutions that enhance customer trust and protect the Cash App ecosystem.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Product, Design, Machine Learning, and Compliance to align technical priorities with business objectives.
  5. Cultivate a culture of excellence, ownership, and accountability, fostering an environment where engineers can thrive and innovate.

You Have

  1. 10+ years of experience leading and scaling engineering teams, including managing engineering managers.
  2. A strong track record of building and operating mission-critical, high-scale systems in security, risk, fraud, or financial technology domains.
  3. Demonstrated ability to drive strategy, execution, and operational excellence in a complex and regulated environment.
  4. Experience developing and implementing robust trust, safety, and security frameworks to protect users and prevent fraud.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
