Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Investor Relations to lead and execute our investor engagement, fundraising strategy, and capital planning. This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with venture capital firms and qualified investors, while ensuring our fundraising initiatives align with the company’s growth objectives and financial targets.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in venture capital and startup fundraising, a strong network of investor contacts, and exceptional communication and strategic planning skills. You will serve as the face of the company to the investor community, playing a key role in securing the capital needed to scale our business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investor Outreach & Relationship Management

  1. Proactively reach out to venture capital firms and qualified investors, with a goal of consistent weekly engagement.
  2. Conduct investor conversations with both existing and new partners.
  3. Organize and lead at least investor meetings per month to pitch and provide updates on company progress.
  4. Ensure investor interactions and deal stages are accurately tracked and updated in the CRM.
  5. Maintain a pipeline of qualified, actively engaged investors at all times.

2. Fundraising & Capital Strategy

  1. Drive the fundraising process with the aim of closing investor deals.
  2. Develop and maintain investor documents that justify and support the company’s valuation targets ($50M–$60M), with updates or new versions created at least monthly.
  3. Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy. Including a KOL round and a seed round.
  4. Align fundraising activities to meet company expansion goals and ensure sufficient runway is secured for each operational year.

3. Strategic Planning & Due Diligence

  1. Manage and execute due diligence processes in collaboration with legal, financial, and executive teams.
  2. Serve as the point of contact for investor-related queries and compliance matters.
  3. Ensure alignment between capital raising strategies and company growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. MBA preferred.
  2. 7+ years of experience in investor relations, venture capital, fundraising, or financial strategy within startups or high-growth companies.
  3. Proven track record of successfully raising capital from institutional and private investors.
  4. Strong network of VC contacts and investor relationships.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Deep understanding of startup financials, valuation, and due diligence processes.
  7. Proficiency with CRM systems and investor tracking tools.
  8. Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities and attention to detail.
