Summary

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

1. Immediate open position
2. $80,000 - $90,000 annual compensation
3. Accounting or Finance post-secondary education required
4. Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing accounting experience in a fast paced automotive environment an asset
5. Extensive background in cost accounting and meeting deadlines
6. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macro’s, VLOOKUP)
7. Analytical skills backed by high proficiency dealing with data
8. Ability to tackle loosely defined problems by asking the right questions
9. Strong organizational skills, comfortable with multi-tasking and project management abilities
10. Experience conducting deep dive analysis with large volumes of data
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. Previous experience working with PowerBI, SQL, Hyperion, Power Ledger, GSD system and TraX is an asset
13. Annual Audits (SOX, Magna Year End, Government)
14. Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the department

MAIN DUTIES:

1. Ensure BOM’s and routings are complete for products
2. Audit BOM’s to actual floor performance
3. Produce variance analysis of products on an ad hoc basis
4. Collaborate with team in the preparation of complex financial reports
5. Integral part of month/quarter/year end close activities and financial statements with detailed analysis
6. Provide support to department leaders through financial and operational analysis and throughout the                     
7. Year and applicable budget and forecasting cycles
8. Liaises with other department personnel
9. Assist with internal and external financial audits
10. Create journal entries, reconcile sub-ledgers for assigned accounts
11. Integral part of month end close activities and financial statements with detailed analysis
12. Other duties as required
