Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and hands-on Consolidation Lead / Cost Controller to join our finance team. This role is crucial to ensuring timely and accurate financial consolidation across multiple global entities, maintaining compliance, and driving spend visibility and discipline. The ideal candidate has deep IFRS knowledge, strong operational accounting skills, and experience with intercompany coordination, cost allocation, and period-end processes in a high-growth or tech-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monthly close coordination & consolidation (multi-entity)
  2. IFRS consolidation coordination with local accountants and external providers
  3. Works with local chief accountants and external providers operational question resolving
  4. Conroles local tax/ statictic and other compieance report execution
  5. Calculates intercompany charges (e.g., HQ overhead, shared services), Prepares IC invoices and tracks posting/compliance
  6. Reconciles IC balances and ensures elimination in consolidation
  7. Provides GL oversight, maintains closing calendar and checklist
  8. Subscription revenue calculations, and communication with local accountants for correct invoicing
  9. Responsible for merchant of record reconciliations
  10. Handles supplier invoice allocation, accruals, periodisation
  11. Manages internal approval system and invoice workflow

Required Skills:

Education

  1. Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

Certification

  1. ACCA/CPA (full or final stages) or equivalent is a +.

Experience

  1. 5–8+ years total; 3+ years in IFRS consolidation for multi-entity groups.

Audit/Reporting

  1. Hands-on experience preparing group packs and audit deliverables under IFRS.

Core Technical Competencies:

  1. IFRS Consolidation – Prepare monthly/quarterly consolidations; translate, align, and eliminate intercompany (IC) balances. Handle foreign currency translation (closing/average rates), CTA, and FX differences.
  2. Intercompany & Charges – Build IC charging models (HQ overhead, shared services), prepare IC invoices, track postings and compliance, and reconcile IC mismatches.
  3. Revenue (SaaS/Subscriptions) – Apply IFRS 15 for annual and monthly plans; deferred revenue schedules; refunds and chargebacks; price proration and discounts.
  4. GL Oversight & Close Governance – Maintain closing calendar/checklists, aging reviews, variance analysis, and substantiation for key accounts.
  5. Cost Control & Periodisation – Supplier invoice allocation, accruals/prepaids, multi-period amortisation; ownership of cost center reporting and spend hygiene.
  6. Compliance & Statutory – Coordinate local tax/statistics/other filings with providers; ensure cutoff, documentation, and policy adherence.

Tools & Systems:

  1. ERP: Experience with mid/enterprise ERP
  2. Consolidation/Reporting tools
  3. Productivity: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivoting, PowerQuery/Lookups)
  4. Workflow: AP/approval tools
