Summary

We’re looking for a Community Manager to help support and grow the Algorand community across social platforms. This role sits within the marketing team and works closely with the Head of Socials to manage day-to-day community activity, content, and conversations.

Beyond day-to-day community management, this role plays a critical part in earning and maintaining the trust and respect of the Algorand community. The Community Manager will act with integrity, transparency, and consistency, serving as a credible and reliable representative of the Foundation while fostering constructive, respectful dialogue and long-term positive sentiment toward the product, ecosystem, and internal teams. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Manage day-to-day community activity across platforms, including X, Reddit, Discord, CoinMarketCap, and LinkedIn
  2. Build and maintain trust-based relationships with community members by engaging with integrity, fairness, and transparency across all platforms. 
  3. Act as a credible voice of the Foundation, ensuring responses are accurate, thoughtful, and aligned with Algorand’s values and long-term vision.
  4. Support posting, replies, and moderation to keep channels active, helpful, and welcoming. 
  5. Foster a community culture rooted in mutual respect, accountability, and open dialogue, reinforcing Algorand’s reputation as a trusted and principled ecosystem
  6. Assist with planning, organizing, and running AMAs and community sessions
  7. Engage with community members regularly and surface insights, questions, and concerns to the wider internal team
  8. Help manage relationships and co-marketing activity with ecosystem partners from a social and community perspective
  9. Track and report core community KPIs (growth, activity, sentiment) and translate them into clear recommendations for the wider team.
  10. Support key ecosystem and governance milestones by educating the community, answering questions, and keeping sentiment and FAQs flowing back to internal teams
  11. Support the creation and upkeep of a dynamic content calendar
  12. Contribute content ideas, captions, and light creative support for social channels

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Strong written communication skills and a natural feel for social platforms
  2. Experience managing, supporting and developing online communities, ideally in crypto, tech, or fintech 
  3. Demonstrated ability to earn credibility and respect within online communities through integrity, consistency, and thoughtful engagement
  4. Comfortable engaging directly with users and handling both positive and negative feedback professionally, respectfully and sensitively in public spaces, always with Algorand’s best interests in mind.
  5. Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple platforms at once
  6. A genuine interest in blockchain and the Algorand ecosystem (Essential to have experience in the Algorand community)

GOOD TO HAVE 

  1. Experience with Discord moderation or community tooling
  2. Familiarity with crypto Twitter, Reddit culture, and Web3 communities 
  3. Experience supporting AMAs, live chats, or community events
