Summary

We are seeking a strategic, action-oriented leader to drive Binance’s fiat and P2P business across Africa. This role carries full regional ownership of business, coordinates cross-functional initiatives and shapes the growth and compliance roadmap for the continent. You will be responsible for building a resilient business foundation, unlocking market-specific opportunities, and delivering long-term growth in user engagement and volume across both fiat and cryptocurrency rails.

Requirements

  1. Regional Leadership & Strategy
  2. Own Binance’s fiat and P2P business performance across African markets
  3. Define regional strategies aligned with global objectives, and translate them into actionable country-level plans
  4. Oversee business metrics such as user growth, trading volume, conversion rates, and merchant activity
  5. Act as the key voice for the African market in internal decision-making and global planning

P2P Ecosystem Development

  1. Guide the growth and governance of the P2P merchant network across the region
  2. Ensure liquidity, pricing quality, operational compliance, and long-term merchant sustainability
  3. Collaborate with global P2P teams to deploy localised product features and market-facing initiatives
  4. Maintain platform health and trust through proactive merchant management and performance monitoring

Fiat Infrastructure & Channel Expansion

  1. Identify and unlock local fiat on/off-ramp opportunities via PSPs, mobile wallets, and banking partners.
  2. Coordinate with internal product, legal, compliance, and technical teams to deliver a market-ready solution.s
  3. Support deployment of Fiat onboarding, KYB flows, Express Zone, and other localised initiatives
  4. Build strong internal and external partnerships to ensure long-term channel stability and growth.

Cross-functional & Regulatory Alignment

  1. Work closely with compliance and legal teams to assess market risks and regulatory developments
  2. Help shape Binance’s compliance transition roadmap in key markets
  3. Coordinate responses to local requirements while maintaining business continuity and user accessibility

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  1. Lead and develop the Africa regional team, currently composed of experienced payment professionals
  2. Provide structure, mentorship, and accountability across markets
  3. Identify capability gaps (especially on the P2P side) and actively drive hiring and upskilling
  4. Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and ownership-led culture

Requirements

  1. 12+ years of experience, and 8+ years in crypto, fintech, payments, marketplaces, or adjacent sectors
  2. Demonstrated experience owning business strategy and execution across multiple countries or regions
  3. Strong understanding of crypto ecosystems
  4. Experience working in or across African markets is essential; understanding the local context is critical.
  5. Excellent cross-functional collaboration, project management, and communication skills
  6. Ability to work across commercial, regulatory, technical, and operational domains
  7. Fluent in English is a must; French or other regional languages are strong advantages
  8. High work ethic, high personal integrity, resilience, and a deep belief in crypto adoption across emerging markets
