Summary

At Kraken, our futures growth team is focused on increasing product awareness to attract new clients in Europe and worldwide, and to drive futures trading adoption.

We are looking for a Business Development Associate, Futures to join our team remotely in the UK or Europe. The #1 goal of this role is to accelerate the growth of our futures business by expanding our affiliate network.

In this role, you will lead business development strategies to drive the growth of our futures affiliate and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) network, with a strong focus on affiliate expansion, futures trading volume, and new user acquisition. You’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle, scouting the crypto landscape to build new business partnerships with KOLs and other affiliates active in the crypto industry.

Additionally, you’ll also nurture existing partners, strengthening long-term relationships that drive sustainable growth. By working closely with product managers, marketers, and other business partners, you’ll play a key role in onboarding and managing clients while shaping the future of crypto with a top-tier brand.

The opportunity

  1. Source and drive acquisition, onboarding and activation of new futures affiliates and KOLs through targeted BD initiatives.
  2. Drive, manage, and nurture existing partner and affiliate relationships to maximize growth and long-term success.
  3. Act as the voice of the customer to product and marketing teams, providing actionable feedback to improve the user experience and offerings.
  4. Execute go-to-market plans for affiliate campaigns, trading competitions and incentive programs.
  5. Monitor competitive trends in futures and recommend features, incentives, or campaigns to maintain market competitiveness.
  6. Collaborate with marketing on campaigns execution, content, and outreach for futures growth.
  7. Track and report on key metrics such as new traders, trading volumes, and affiliate impact. Assess performance and customer retention across regions and marketing channels.

Skills you should HODL

  1. 3–6 years’ experience in business development with a proven track record of generating new business in any market environment, including at least 2 years in the crypto industry or trading platforms.
  2. Deep comprehension of perpetual futures markets and user profiles (a plus).
  3. A strong personal network within the crypto industry, especially across new projects, influencers, and KOLs (a plus).
  4. Commercial mindset with the ability to drive growth and deliver results autonomously.
  5. As a complete degen, you have a deep knowledge and comprehension of cryptocurrency ecosystems, including their players, frameworks, and market dynamics beyond blue-chip tokens.
  6. Passion for the cryptocurrency world and a proactive attitude toward learning new industry trends.
  7. You believe wholeheartedly in the cypherpunk, libertarian values outlined in Kraken’s Tentaclements document.
  8. You have the ability to build meaningful partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders across all levels and backgrounds.
  9. Based in the UK or Europe, fluent in English.
