Job Description

Summary

Are you excited by the idea of reshaping how value moves across borders? At Polygon Labs, we're building the future of on-chain finance - and we’re looking for somebody to drive that future in Mexico and Central America.

In this high-impact role, you'll lead efforts to expand our presence in the payments and stablecoins space, build deep collaborations with fintechs, financial institutions, and infrastructure players, and co-create go-to-market strategies that turn potential into real-world adoption. You’ll work cross-functionally to remove friction, unlock new corridors, and help shape the next wave of digital financial infrastructure.

If you’re a natural connector with deep regional experience and a passion for web3 innovation - this role is for you.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Identify and engage key players across the payments and stablecoins ecosystem: banks, fintechs, PSPs, CEXs, wallets, and market makers.
  2. Champion Polygon Labs’ product suite and roadmap - highlighting use cases like on-chain FX, cross-border remittances, and the upcoming Polygon Payments Network.
  3. Prioritize strategic partners and corridors; shape pilots, integrations, and long-term opportunities.
  4. Stay ahead of the regulatory curve by analyzing and reporting on evolving policies impacting digital payments and blockchain in the region.
  5. Translate complex developments into actionable insights for both internal teams and external partners.
  6. Co-create and execute GTM plans with top-tier ecosystem players; maintain momentum through recurring engagement and clear value delivery.
  7. Build and maintain pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and internal briefings to support execution.
  8. Manage deliverables across cross-functional teams - legal, engineering, marketing, finance - to ensure end-to-end success.
  9. Maintain and improve internal BD tools: CRMs, dashboards, KPIs, and performance trackers.
  10. Own operational clarity across all active initiatives in the region.

What You'll Need

  1. 6+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or blockchain - especially with payments, stablecoins, or institutional crypto.
  2. Strong network across Mexico and Central America’s financial and fintech ecosystem.
  3. Proven ability to lead strategic BD initiatives and drive cross-functional execution.
  4. Deep understanding of on-chain finance, including DeFi, stablecoins, and institutional yield.
  5. Working knowledge of regional crypto regulations and their impact on financial products.
  6. Excellent communicator with strong executive presence and storytelling ability.
  7. Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Background in traditional payments or fintech strategy - especially in product, pricing, or GTM roles.
  2. Familiarity with DeFi, remittances, or crypto-native infrastructure.
  3. Exposure to M&A, investment evaluations, or deal structuring.
  4. Understanding of FX flows, capital controls, and emerging market challenges.
  5. Experience crafting collateral for partners, investors, or sales teams.
