Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounting Associate to handle our books, records and financial statements and interface with our external CPA firm.  The person in this role will be a vital member of our Accounting team, supporting Shifts continued growth and success by maintaining accurate records of our companys day-to-day financial transactions and performing routine accounting tasks.  The ideal candidate is a CPA with bookkeeping experience, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Experience in the crypto space is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books
• Record daily financial entries and reconciliations
• Work with general ledger entries
• Maintain income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
• Complete monthly close of financial statements
• Discuss and present financial statements for internal team and for executives
• Manage invoices and tax payments
• Record payments and adjustments

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Pro
• Outstanding communication skills
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• Accurate and efficient
• Analytical thinker
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google apps and other web-based tools
• CPA license preferred

Qualifications

• Bookkeeping experience and experience with cryptocurrency preferred
• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field

This is a full-time, permanently remote position that requires working 40 hours per week. Annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 and is commensurate with experience.
